Dear lady at the intersection of Erie Blvd and Liberty St:

I don't know if you ever learned this in Driver's Ed, or by reading all those helpful signs scattered about, but New York State has a traffic law wherein you are _NOT_ supposed to block side streets and cause gridlock (not to mention another one about running red lights). Therefore, when I turned right in front of you and cut you off on purpose, it was because I merely assumed you were really bad at stopping, and had overshot the line by about 30 feet. This was not a reason to flip me off multiple times, or swear at me, or carry the grudge for the next two miles down the road.

I hope that you have time to practice your stopping sometime soon.

Well - a bit late, maybe. Here's some random updatey goodness...

• I'm done with SPAC Medical season for the year (THANK GOD). Working three nights in a row was complete and total hell. Definitely never signing up for that much again.


• I still have an internship at the NYS Comptroller's office, at least until Sept. 14th. I'm torn as to whether I should be hoping for my extension to go through, because I'm not really sure I want to be working two jobs during the school year, but I'm not so opposed to the idea that I'd outright quit.


• Schule starts on Wednesday - I'm only teaching one class this year (HS girls' biology). The new teacher for the 5-6 / 7-8 classes seems really nice. I had coffee with her today and helped her plan her first couple of days. She's been teaching in India for over ten years, and this is her first teaching job in the US.


• James and I have been remodeling the apartment like crazy. I'll get a link to pictures up sometime. And Erin's moved in for the semester. And Seph's going to be exercising his wanderlust in the form of a trip to Europe, starting Sept. 12 with a plane ride to Berlin.
